FIRST THINGS FIRST

I was incredibly chuffed to find out that I've been awarded a First Class BA(Hons) Degree for Illustration. It's been a busy, tiring three years but I've loved it. I now step out of education (after 19 years) into the abyss of real life. Wish me luck...

A BUNCH OF EXHIBITIONISTS

Starting Tuesday 16th, The Degree Shows for University College Falmouth are open to the public. Its open til Saturday 20th and the Illustration stuff is at the Woodlane campus. If you wanna check out a sample of the work that will be up, check out www.fcaillustration.co.uk

JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

In the 2009 Macmillan Childrens Book Prize, I have received 'Highly Commended' for my wordless narrative, Foxly's Feast. Below is the cover but if you wish to see more of the book, there are more images under the book section on my website: www.owendavey.com

INTO THE WILD

This was an editorial piece that I did about a month ago. Its about how Bon Iver's Justin Vernon hid out in his father's hunting cabin in Wisconsin after splitting with his girlfriend and contracting glandular fever.

THE GLASS HALF FULL

Yet another book cover to add to the collection. This one consists of the optimistic thoughts of contemporary philosophers.

WEST SIDE STORIES

Another book cover for your viewing pleasure. Its for a book of short Westerns, including 3:10 to Yuma...this was recently made into a film directed by James Mangold (the guy that did Walk the Line).

JOHNNY ON THE SPOT

I gave myself a day to do this image for my exhibition. Its pretty self-explanatory for what its for...if it's not then I've obviously done a terrible job anyway.
