A HELPING HAND

I recently helped out for a singular day on an End Of The Road animation for the Low Anthem's single, Charlie Darwin. I helped animate the sea and the boat in the third shot, and helped to carve and stain the legs of the chair that Charlie sits on in the barn. Not a considerable contribution by any stretch of the imagination but it was a fun (if a little tedious and laborious) experience and Glenn and everyone did such a good job with the whole video, that I figured I would share their hard work with you guys.

ADVICE TO SINK IN SLOWLY

This is a poster design for the 'advice to sink in slowly' project. Ironically, I don't drink tea.

HOT 'COCO'

This is an editorial about Audrey Tautou playing 'Coco' Chanel in a biopic of the pioneering French fashion designer. She is also the face of the new Chanel No. 5 advert, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (the guy that directed 'Ameilie' and 'A Very Long Engagement').

THE BANHART ART

Another experiment with my portraiture. This time I've illustrated Devendra Banhart, using his album 'Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon' as inspiration. By the way, the album is an eclectic joy!

BREAK THE NEWS...

Two days after graduating University College Falmouth, I was delighted to have been published in the Guardian Weekend. If you happened to buy the paper that Saturday and had turned to page 63, you would have seen my editorial illustration for Oliver Burkeman's 'This Column Will Change Your Life'. Here is a photo of the image in action...

FIRST THINGS FIRST

I was incredibly chuffed to find out that I've been awarded a First Class BA(Hons) Degree for Illustration. It's been a busy, tiring three years but I've loved it. I now step out of education (after 19 years) into the abyss of real life. Wish me luck...
